Following their presentation in July-August 2023 in Paxos, Greece and before their exhibition at Saint Carthage cathedral in Lismore (Waterford County, Ireland) in May-June 2024 and at the Archeological Museum of Corfu, Greece in July-September 2024, Chris Boïcos Fine Arts has the great pleasure of presenting in Châtellerault, twelve well-known ceramic artists of very diverse, origins, techniques and styles :
Ilias Christopoulos, Sinead Fagan, Roberta Fereira, Manos Kalamenios,
Angelika Kogevina, Haroula Koropouli, José María Mariscal, Ann McBride,
Marcus O’Mahony, Rafaela Pareja, Kathleen Standen, Giorgos Vavatsis
Through this diversity of form, color and texture we do recognize, however, the nature and light of their respective countries : The bright sun and Classicism of the Mediterranean with the Catalans and Greeks, the softer light and the attachment to earth with the Irish.
This is the third exhibition at Gilles Thiollet’s galerie des Mignons of international ceramic artists after « Four Greek Ceramic Artist in Châtellerault » in December 2022 and of the French ceramicist Emma Mellot-Kristy in March 2023.
