&lt;p&gt;Federica Galli was born in Soresina near Cremona in 1932. She studied at the artistic lyceum in Milan in 1946 and at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan in 1954-48. She began printmaking in 1954 specializing in etching. In 1966 she married the journalist Giovanni Raimondi from the Corriere della Sera. She became, over the years, one of the best known Italian printmakers. Her chief subjects are old trees in a variety of Italian regions and also views of Venice, its houses, canals and (...)&lt;/p&gt;
