Two Italian Romantics in Paris
28 septembre 2016, par Chris BoicosWho says Romantic art is dead ? In these troubled times sculptor Ettore Greco and the painter Pilar Saltini introduce mood, sentiment and anguish into their artwork, as a possible reaction to the darkening climate of our current world.
Twisting, writhing and grimacing Greco’s terracotta and bronze nudes seem to evolve in a world of chimerae and dark visions. Reminiscent of Auguste Rodin’s creatures from the Gates of Hell they are contemporary expressions of the anguished souls of Dante’s (...) -

Architecture." is the second photographic exhibition of the summer in Paxos curated by [**Chris Boicos Fine Arts*] at the Old School of Loggos from 8 July - 3 August 2016. Spyros Kolovos and Dimitris Kintzios both live on the island all year long and Kevin Price has often visited in summer and spring. Their familiarity with the island in all seasons, light, weather and mood make this a particularly rich and varied show.

12 juin 2016, par Chris Boicos"During my artist’s residency with Chris Boïcos Fine Arts at the end of June and the beginning of July of 2015 I made photographic portraits of the inhabitants of Paxos.
Without pathos or dramatic posturing, but in a pictorial manner, I photographed individuals, all unique, but tied to a common destiny. It was the historic moment of the referendum of 5 July 2015 and Greeks were questioning themselves. Some were at work, some made time to pose for me, all were voting. It’s the “NO” that won (...) -

[Emma Mellot->Emmannuelle Mellot-Kristy was our artist resident in Paxos in July 2015 when she ran our first printmaking workshop. The series of six etchings "Paxos. A Reminiscence - Παξών Αναπόληση " were inspired by her stay on the island. Emma captures details of Paxos architecture and nature that she has distilled into stylized and delicate iconic (...) -
